BELFIELD, N.D. — Kailee Tescher has been watching the South Heart Eagles from the sidelines, not dressed in uniform. After tearing her ACL last year during her basketball season, the senior outside hitter had missed the entire first half of the season. She is one of the team’s leaders and has served as a captain for the past two seasons.
She returned to the lineup just under one month ago and Tuesday against the Belfield Bantams marked her sixth appearance this season. Tescher stepped up in the latter stages of the third set. The Bantams were making a huge push and had put the Eagles on their heels. South Heart trailed 21-19 in the stanza, but it tied it up at 21-21.
