It’s been almost a year since ESPN’s Shams Charania dropped a bombshell on the NBA world by reporting the Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis trade. However, it still keeps making headlines almost every day. This time it’s because, reportedly, the ESPN insider texted LeBron James’ eldest son and Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James the information about the trade before the world knew it.

Charania, who was recently on the Pat McAfee show, was asked if there was any truth to these reports. Shams’ reply? Well, the ESPN analyst straight-up shut down all rumors about him texting Bronny James. “ I didn’t have time to text anybody that night, ” Charania stated. He cleared the air around the rumors and indicated that he did not personally break this news to not just James, but any other player as well.
