In September 2022 we learned Warner Bros. was moving forward with a Constantine sequel that would see Keanu Reeves reprise his 2005 role as the working-class warlock. The original film’s director Frank Lawrence was coming back, too. Despite rumors to the contrary, those plans didn’t change when the studio hired James Gunn and Peter Safran to head ups its new DCU franchise. Reeves himself confirmed at the time he had already talked about the film with the new CEOs. Yet, more than two years later and there’s still no guarantee Constantine 2 will ever happen. But that doesn’t mean Gunn isn’t still considering it. He said he’s discussed the possibility with Reeves. He just hasn’t seen a script, yet.
