Despite great reviews , the recent animated Transformers: ONE flopped at the box office, calling the future cinematic endeavors of the Autobots and Decepticons into question. The last G.I. Joe movie, Snake Eyes , also died a quiet death at the box office. But don’t count out these iconic Hasbro brands yet. According to Deadline , Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment is joining with Hasbro Entertainment to produce Energon Universe . This will be an adult-oriented animated series based on Kirkman’s comics of the same name, which crossover Transformers, G.I. Joe , and Kirkman’s own Void Rivals creation. Lucifer’s Joe Henderson is attached as showrunner.

Apparently, the series will have vibes similar to Kirkman’s popular Invincible , which runs on Prime Video. That
