JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. (WAVE) - One person has died following a shooting in Jeffersontown. It’s believed to be an isolated incident, but the suspect is still at large.

Police were called out to the scene in the 2400 block of Arbor Pointe Drive.

Preliminary information from detectives say they received the report of the shooting just before noon at the Arbor Pointe Apartments. Upon arrival, they found a door ajar with the victim inside.

Major Brian Foreman of Jeffersontown Police spoke to the media outside the scene.

The victim, a man in his late 20s and 30s, was seated in a chair and was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on scene. Officers managed to get him out of the apartment, despite an aggressive dog in the apartment.
