LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Local organizations are using National Teen Driver Safety Week to raise awareness on the importance of teaching teenagers how to drive safely. Experts say Kentucky continues to lead the country in driving fatalities involving teens.
New data reveals that an average of seven teenagers die every day in traffic crashes nationwide. Also, research shows 56 percent of teen passenger deaths happened in vehicles driven by another teen.

According to AAA research, more than 60 percent of teens get their driver’s license before turning 18.
