Coventry City Council is ramping up efforts to combat fly-tipping with a major investment and innovative new projects. Around £420,000 will be invested in the worst-affected parts of Coventry .
Funding will be deployed across multiple initiatives, including a dedicated fly-tipping team for Ball Hill. It will also support enhanced coverage at shopping sites and increased mechanical sweeping.
Six additional CCTV cameras will be installed over the next four years, bringing the total network to 30 cameras strategically positioned at fly-tipping hotspots. Coventry City Council projects the cost of this expansion to be around £80,000.
