A famous actress was back in Rhode Island over the weekend.

Gwyneth Paltrow appeared at Brown University for the school's Family Weekend event on Saturday, Oct. 18. Paltrow's appearance isn't a complete surprise, as her son, a 19-year-old boy marriage with Coldplay front man Chris Martin, is currently a sophomore at Brown.

As part of family-weekend, she gave the keynote address.

Paltrow called Brown her “dream school” and said it was a “pinch-me” moment to speak during Family Weekend, the school said. She said the school fits with her philosophy on education.
