The NFL is sticking with Bad Bunny as its Super Bowl LX halftime show performer.

“He’s one of the leading and most popular entertainers in the world,” commissioner Roger Goodell told reporters on Wednesday at the annual fall owners meeting, per The Associated Press . “That’s what we try to achieve. It’s an important stage for us. It’s an important element to the entertainment value. It’s carefully thought through.”

The Puerto Rican artist was announced as the show’s halftime musical act in September.

Bad Bunny has been an open critic of President Donald Trump and his policies. Trump said in an interview with Newsmax that he has never heard of Bad Bunny and the decision for him to perform at the Super Bowl was “absolutely ridiculous.”
