Families in Connecticut looking to surprise a loved one by finishing that long put-off DIY project or home renovation plan can make that a reality, thanks to a new television show.
The new ITV home makeover show is casting Connecticut residents for a surprise renovation that promises big emotions and even bigger transformations. Producers have cast a wide net, but said they prefer to find families within an hour of Stamford.
Casting directors say they’re “looking for families with a room in their house that’s unfinished, outdated, or simply driving everyone crazy.” The show’s producers want to spotlight spaces that “have been begging for attention but never quite made it to the top of the to-do list.”
The project aims to help locals who’ve put off repairs or remodels. That half-finished kitchen, cluttered basement, or forgotten spare room could become the centerpiece of a life-changing reveal.
“We’re looking for families who want to pull off a surprise renovation — a jaw-dropping room makeover that your loved ones will never see coming,” the casting team said. “If chosen, our team will secretly work with you to transform your space into something your family truly deserves.”
Those interested can apply by emailing brian.puentes@itv.com with photos of their home, their family, and an explanation of why they’d like to surprise a loved one with a makeover.
