Alan Leo Godfrey, 74, of Riverside, Utah, passed away on October 20, 2025.

Alan was born to Iva Mae Shaffer and Leo Sylvin Godfrey on November 22, 1950. Raised in Clarkston, Alan moved to Garland at age 12 and graduated from Bear River High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army and then in the Montana-Wyoming mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

On October 24, 1975, he married his sweetheart, Brenda Bourne, in the Logan Temple. Alan’s adoration for Brenda was beyond words. Their marriage, a 50-year journey, is an example to us all of what true love and partnership is. He was immensely proud of his kids and their spouses.
