SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane police say one person was transported with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle near East Indiana Avenue and North Columbus Street on Wednesday morning.

Police say the initial 911 information indicated the pedestrian was trapped under the vehicle.

According to witnesses on the scene, it was an Avista truck that hit the pedestrian, who was riding a Lime bike.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation.

Police added that evidence found at the scene indicated the collision took place near Hamilton and Indiana.

As of just before noon on Wednesday, the roadway was still closed for the investigation.
