Vibes are high in Cedar Falls after a ninth-place finish for Northern Iowa wrestling at the NCAA Championships, the top mark for the program since Doug Schwab took over in 2011.

Even so, it's a year of transition for the Panthers. The Parker Keckeisen era has concluded and longtime assistant coach and highly regarded technician Lee Roper is off to lead the Oklahoma State regional training center in Stillwater. In comes former Cyclone Ian Parker to fill Roper's role, but UNI will be starting the season in a search for the next face of the program in the starting 10 of its lineup.

The Panthers will open the season on Nov. 9 at the Journeyman Wrestling Collegiate Classic, followed by the National Duals Invitational on Nov. 15-16. During that time, as well as media day coming up shortly, w
