Auburn football has had its fair share of close losses in SEC play this year, sitting at 0-4 against conference opponents and 3-4 overall.

Now preparing for Arkansas this week, which is also winless in SEC play. Auburn coach Hugh Freeze reflected on some of the factors that have hindered the Tigers from closing out games.

“I mean, defensively has played more consistently than offensively, and then there’s times, man, we choose to play with the wrong leverage,” Freeze said during Wednesday’s SEC Teleconference. Then there’s times like last week, we had some uncharacteristic drops and then the times in the second half where we may not protect quite long enough or we miss an open throw. It’s just a mixture of things.”
