NEW YORK (PIX11) – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained four U.S. citizens during ICE raids on Tuesday in Chinatown, Lower Manhattan, according to Congressman Dan Goldman.

Goldman stated that ICE unlawfully detained the four citizens and that his office had to intervene on their behalf, Goldman said.

Since 2015, ICE has maintained a policy that prevents U.S. citizens from being detained or arrested during immigration enforcement actions, according to its website.
