Man deported to France under ‘one in, one out’ scheme returns on small boat

One of the first asylum seekers sent back to France under the government’s new “one in, one out” scheme has now returned to the UK – arriving once again on a small boat.

Meanwhile, the number of migrants who have come to the UK so far this year in small boats has exceeded the total for the whole of last year, sources said.

The man says he didn’t feel safe in France.
