Vehicle recovered but passenger still missing after June crash into Squamish River

A car that crashed into the Squamish River in June was recovered over the weekend, but one of the passengers remains missing and is presumed drowned.

Sea to Sky RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the crash in the early morning hours of June 14 that involved one vehicle and four people. Three were rescued but a passenger remains unaccounted for.

Shortly after the crash into the fast-flowing river swollen by spring runoff, family members told Global News that Surrey resident Navdeep Sidhu, 24, was the missing passenger . They told Global that Sidhu was camping with friends in the area when their car left the road.
