CROMWELL, Conn. — Two people were taken into custody along Route 9 in Cromwell Wednesday after a police chase originating from shots fired in Hartford, according to Connecticut State Police.
Hartford police said they issued a "Be On The Lookout" alert after an attempted shooting in the area of Garden Street at 2:30 p.m.
State Police Troop H located and pursued the vehicle until it "came to a stop on Route 9 in Cromwell and two individuals were taken into custody."
FOX61 observed a large police presence in the median between exits 24 and 25.
According to the Connecticut Department of Transportation, the left lane going northbound was closed. It appears to have since reopened.
