CLEVELAND (WKBN) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers exercised their third-year team option on guard Jaylon Tyson.
Cavaliers President of Basketball Operations Koby Altman made the announcement on Wednesday.
Tyson was originally selected 20th overall by the Cavaliers in the 2024 NBA Draft.
He appeared in 47 games for Cleveland last season, averaging 3.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
He also averaged 18.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game in eight contests with the Cleveland Charge.
In his first career start versus New Orleans on Nov. 20 last season, Tyson recorded his first career double-double with 16 points, a career-high 11 rebounds, a career-high seven assists and two steals.
The Cavaliers tipoff the 2025-26 season on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in New York.
