JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. — Jeffersontown Police is investigating a fatal shooting that happened on Wednesday.
Major Brian Foreman said they were called to an apartment complex on Arbor Pointe Drive shortly before noon.
When officers arrived, he said they found an open door in the complex with a man sitting in a chair, unresponsive.
Foreman said a large, aggressive dog within the unit prevented them from getting to the man for a little while.
Once they got the man into the hallway, he said they found the man had multiple gunshot wounds and had died.
Foreman said they contacted the nearby school out of an abundance of caution.
He added they don’t believe there is a general threat to the public.
