WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (WMC) - A West Memphis man was arrested Monday after a police chase through the city.
Arkansas State Police said it was called in to assist West Memphis police officers around 11:30 a.m. when officers were tracking a stolen Hyundai.
WMPD and ASP chased the vehicle until a tactical vehicle intervention was used, meaning officers were able to stop the suspect’s vehicle by crashing it, near the intersection of 7th and Barton Streets.
The driver, 18-year-old Rodarious Johnson, was taken into custody. Troopers also discovered a firearm inside the vehicle.
Johnson was wanted by WMPD for attempted murder, aggravated robbery, four counts of terroristic acts and vehicle theft stemming from an incident in July.
He was taken into custody, where he was also charged with battery
