The Town of Qualicum Beach has adopted Official Community Plan and rezoning amendments to the Eaglecrest Golf Course lands ahead of the deadline to finalize the purchase agreement.

The town has moved forward with rezoning, though it notes if the purchase is not complete, then the lands will revert back to the previous OCP and rezoning designations. The deadline to finalize the purchase agreement is Nov. 1.

“The potential purchase of the Eaglecrest Golf Course is intended to be self-funded through the sale of select land parcels that will be pre-zoned with development potential that could be implemented if the Town assumes ownership,” the staff report says.
