BRYAN, Texas — Bryan, Texas will soon have a new hometown baseball team, and they have announced the final six contenders for what that team will be called.

It was recently announced that Bryan would be the home of a new Mid America League Baseball (MALB) franchise . The team will reportedly play at Travis Major Field beginning in 2026 as part of a rental agreement with the City of Bryan.

The Bryan Baseball Franchise has been holding a contest to decide the name of the new team, and has announced the six finalists. Each finalist represents Bryan's "deep history, culture and character," according to the MALB.
