WACO, Texas — The Baylor Bears may be roaring after learning the institution ranks among the best schools in the country for "first-year experience," according to a new U.S. News poll.

Ranked No. 4 by U.S. News for "first-year experience" and ninth for learning communities, Baylor is one of three colleges to rank among the top 10 for both categories, and the only one to be a R1 research institution or feature Power 4 athletics.

Baylor was in the top five for the third straight year, ranked 27th for undergraduate teaching, 38th for innovation and 40th for undergraduate research. Baylor's placement in the top 10 also marks the seventh straight top-20 ranking.
