INDIANAPOLIS — A Colts team that is desperate for experienced help at cornerback might be getting a familiar face back soon.
Indianapolis is opening the 21-day window for Jaylon Jones to return from injured reserve.
Jones has not played since aggravating the hamstring injury that cost him most of training camp on a punt coverage repetition in the season opener.
“We’ll see how the week progresses with him,” Indianapolis head coach Shane Steichen said.
Jones has the track record to significantly help a Colts secondary that has been decimated by injuries at cornerback. Jones, a seventh-round pick in 2023, quickly developed into a solid starter, making 27 starts over his first two seasons in the NFL and playing 1,932 snaps over two years. Need a news break?
