WEST RICHLAND, WA – A high-speed chase in West Richland on October 19 ended with a rollover crash and an arrest, police said in a release.
Around 1:00 a.m., a West Richland Police Officer tried to stop the driver of a speeding vehicle on West Van Giesen near Jones Road, but the driver made a U-turn and sped west.
The chase reached speeds of 90 to 100 mph. Near the 4900 block of West Van Giesen Street, the driver lost control, hitting a powerline pole and rolling over.
Two passengers were ejected, and others stayed in the vehicle. All were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.
After being treated, the driver was arrested and booked into Benton County Jail on multiple charges.
