MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — A job posting for Mt. Juliet's next information technology director is now online after two employees from that department were fired amid an ongoing investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, a city spokesperson confirmed to News 2 that Mt. Juliet had "separated employment" with IT Director Travis Taylor and another employee from the IT department, whose identity has not been released.

Mt. Juliet officials posted in August 2023 that Taylor had worked for the city for 15 years. Then, in July 2025, he was praised for his hard work to make sure Mt. Juliet operates smoothly.

The TBI told News 2 that District Attorney General Jason Lawson asked the agency to investigate allegations involving these employees.
