President Donald J. Trump has approved a federal disaster declaration for Alaska in response to the recent West Coast Storm that impacted the state earlier this month. The declaration, requested by Governor Mike Dunleavy, unlocks a range of federal recovery programs designed to assist individuals, businesses, and local governments affected by the storm.

According to the press release, Governor Dunleavy requested the declaration after discussing it with President Trump immediately following the storm.
