FARMINGTON, Utah (ABC4) — A longtime rollercoaster resident at Lagoon Amusement Park is retiring next month, and the park wants to make sure fans have a chance to ride it one last time.

According to Lagoon, Jet Star 2 opened up during the summer of 1976 and has provided "a generation of thrills." At the end of the 2025 season, the popular coaster is saying goodbye for good, just before reaching its 50th year at the park.

Jet Star 2 was one of the park's two Schwarzkopf roller coasters, said Lagoon spokesperson Adam Leishman.
