Peoria, Ill (WMBD) -- The National Weather Service has issued a Frost Advisory for Central Illinois from 12 am to 9 am Thursday and a Freeze Watch for late Thursday night and Friday morning.

Autumn is in full swing as the leaves begin to drop and so do our temperatures. On Wednesday and Thursday night, Central Illinois is poised to see low temperatures in the lower to mid 30s. The cool air along with clear skies and light winds will make conditions favorable for widespread frost.

On average Peoria experiences it's first freeze of the season on October 16th. You can find more frost and freeze stats here.
