Jets coach Aaron Glenn was expected to reveal his starting quarterback before Sunday’s game against the Bengals. And the expectation was for Tyrod Taylor to take the reins from Justin Fields.

Instead, Glenn did not reveal his starting quarterback. But he did reveal that Taylor is day-to-day with a knee injury.

“We’ll have a quarterback on Sunday,” Glenn said. “I know who the starting quarterback’s going to be.”

But Glenn won’t reveal it because he doesn’t want to give the Bengals a competitive advantage before Sunday’s game, when he has the opportunity to withhold that info because of the Jets’ situation.

Glenn also responded to Woody Johnson’s highly critical comments of quarterback Justin Fields, in which the owner seemed to blame Fields for the team’s 0-7 start.
