ROSEBURG, Ore. - Roseburg Public Works is launching its annual leaf collection service for city residents starting in November.
According to Roseburg Public Works, pickups will run from November 3 through December 31. Crews aim to prevent leaves from clogging storm drains and waterways, having collected 880 cubic yards last year.
"The leaf pickup program helps keep the city street drains, as well as the storm pipe infrastructure, clean and functioning properly," said Roseburg Design/Construction Manager Ryan Herinckx.
The service begins in the Laurelwood Park neighborhood and progresses clockwise through the city. Residents should pile leaves neatly at the edge of their property for collection.
