EUGENE, Ore. - Residents in West Eugene are expressing concern over package thefts after several parcels were found scattered along Crow Road and neighboring Laporte Drive.

Mike Sheppard discovered the discarded packages and noted that surveillance cameras in the area failed to capture any suspects.

Sheppard is taking measures to enhance security by installing a new camera and purchasing a heavy-duty mailbox.

"Instead of our doorbell camera, which didn't capture the street, I'm going to install a camera on our garage to capture the street so that I can at least see a car, and provide more of a description to give to law enforcement," said Sheppard. "I also bought a heavy-duty steel mailbox."
