A much colder air mass is settling in, bringing some unseasonably chilly days and nights. In fact, today's high was only 49 degrees, which was the first time we stayed in the 40s for a high temperature since way back on April 9th.
A Frost Advisory is in effect for tonight, especially for areas south and west of the I-74 corridor. We're expecting clear skies and temperatures to drop into the lower 30s after 2 AM, creating ideal conditions for frost formation, particularly in sheltered valleys and low-lying areas.
While winds might keep some areas from seeing widespread frost, we anticipate enough to warrant the advisory. Be sure to protect any sensitive plants tonight!
Looking ahead to Thursday, we'll see another day of sunshine but we're really going to feel the chill settle in Thursday
