QUINCY — Three months into the fiscal year, Quincy Public Schools Chief of Business Operations Ryan Whicker says things look good.

“At 25% of the year, we’re tracking well under 25%,” Whicker said, in spending in all funds except for two — transportation which makes all bus lease payments for the year in July and tort which pays all insurance premiums in July.

District revenues peak this time of year with the majority of property taxes already collected, then will start “trickling down” for the rest of the year.

“We’re looking pretty good currently,” Whicker told the Finance Committee at Tuesday’s meeting. “Future projections are better than they have been in the past.”
