BEAVERTON, Ore. — A Beaverton family is distraught after their father, Jose Perez, was detained by federal agents Monday morning at the Beaverton Town Square.

His stepdaughter, Araiz Martinez, said her dad was going to work on October 20, and was on the phone with her mom when federal agents stopped him.

Martinez found out what was happening as she was taking her brother to school, and instead, headed to Beavertown Town Square, where she found her dad's vehicle with the windows smashed out.

"When I got there, the first ICE agent, he was wearing a police vest. I knew he was not police; he had no badge on him. He would not identify himself," Martinez said.
