PORTLAND, Oregon — Rainfall amounts have reached 1/2 inch in the valley over the last 24 hours. The low center producing the rain is dropping south of our region this morning. Look for the rain chance to end this morning as skies begin to clear as gusty east winds begin to blow. Gusts near the gorge could reach 30-40 mph by the noon hour.

A winter weather advisory is in effect this morning until 11:00 a.m. for the Cascades near and above pass level. The passes show light snow accumulations this morning while 11" is on the ground at 5,000' and higher.

Clear skies into Tuesday and Wednesday mornings will lead to temps in the 30s and possibly nearing 32 degrees in east wind blocked areas, meaning calm locations. East winds will fade during the day Wednesday.
