BOISE, Idaho — A Meridian High School student was arrested Wednesday after police say they found weapons in his vehicle in the parking lot.

The Meridian Police Department said officers responded after a concerned citizen reported the student's actions off campus earlier in the day. Officers located the student, who had come back to campus, in the student parking lot.

Police said officers found weapons in the student's vehicle. Officials said "at no time was there a threat to the school." It's not clear what type of weapons the teen had in the vehicle.

The student was taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center, according to Meridian Police .
