BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) - Students from Ansted Elementary School made their way to Beckley for a special field trip.
They visited both the Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority and the Raleigh County Veterans and First Responders Museum.
Jan-Care was also there, showing kids what they do on a day-to-day basis. The students got to learn about the history of our nation’s military over the years. Here’s what some of them had to say about what they learned.
“I have two people that are related to me that were in World War I and World War II,” said 3rd grader Jameson Beavers.
“When people like drop, like gas from planes, like a gas bomb – there was this guy that was called a crackler and had like a thing where he does this and it like makes a bunch of loud noises, like it is crackling,” added Jaxo
