We’ve got some sad news for The Sims Mobile players. Electronic Arts (EA) will officially be shutting down the app in January 2026.

The company shared the news in a blog post published earlier this week. However, the good news is that events will continue as normal in the final months, meaning players can keep earning Simoleons and items until the game is shut down on January 20.

EA will also add a few more updates to the game before then, including the “Eerie Autumn” Festival Pass and the “Cozier Home” Sweet Treat Showdown, which launched on October 20 and will run until December 19 and November 2, respectively. Additional updates will include more limited time quests, Sweet Treat Showdowns, and Treasure Hunts until January 10.
