CELINA, Texas — Attorneys representing families of a Celina ISD middle school have filed a lawsuit against the district and 26-year-old Caleb Elliott, a now former coach and teacher, according to a newly filed lawsuit.

On Oct. 9, Elliott turned himself in and was booked into Collin County Jail for possession or promotion of child pornography, a second-degree felony.

The new suit was filed by Herz Law and Bruce Kaye in Collin County District Court.

The lawsuit claims that during the 2022–2023 school year, Elliott began an improper relationship with a then-senior at the high school.

Before a special school board meeting last week, Elliott resigned and surrendered his teaching license, but the charges and his fate with the district remained a key topic.
