SUPERIOR, Wis. (Northern News Now) - A former Wisconsin state representative has announced her bid to represent District 25 in the state senate

Republican Angie Sapik made that announcement on Wednesday on the steps of the Douglas County Courthouse.

She currently serves on the Douglas County board in the health and public safety committees.

She previously represented Wisconsin’s 73rd assembly district, but chose not to run for re-election after Governor Tony Evers signed a bill redrawing district lines in 2024.

Now looking to represent Wisconsin’s 25th district in the state senate, she shared what her priorities are for the state of Wisconsin.
