BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WROC) - Thomas boys soccer took down Brighton in the first round of the Class AA tournament, defeating the Bruins 2-0.

Thomas got on the board just 14 minutes into the game as Declan Lavrynenko's corner kick deflected off Charlie Petzing and found the back of the net.

In the second half, Thomas added another as Petzing broke away from defenders and finished with a goal.

Thomas (6-9) advances to face Spencerport in the quarterfinals. Brighton ends its season 7-7-3.
