ORONO -- The founders of a popular skin care company are giving back to their alma mater with a new scholarship.
Marin skincare founders and University of Maine graduates, Patrick Breeding and Amber Boutiette, have partnered with the university to offer a minimum $25,000 dollar scholarship for students taking their first innovation engineering course.
The duo began developing Marin skincare while researching lobster glycoproteins at the innovation engineering center.
Breeding says giving back to the university is a full-circle moment.
"This whole thing makes so much sense," says Breeding, "We came from UMaine, we got our start there. We owe so much of our success to our professors and these programs and the people that helped us figure out how to bring m=Marin to life. So we wanna br
