LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- A St. Clair Shores voter was sentenced to six months' delayed probation Wednesday after pleading guilty to voting twice in an election.

Frank Prezzato, 69, pleaded guilty in September to one count of voting absentee and in-person, a charge stemming from an incident on Election Day for the August 2024 primary election.

According to Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, Prezzato showed up to the polls on election day, requesting and turning in a ballot for the election despite having already voted via absentee ballot.

Both votes ended up counting in the election.

Prezzato was initially charged with one count of voting absentee and in person and one count of offering to vote more than once in October 2024, but later plead guilty to only the former.
