Woman finds uncle dead at West Valley independent living facility days after he died

SUN CITY (AZFamily) — A Waddell woman made a grim discovery at an independent living facility in the West Valley last week.

Angela Boorn said she went to visit her uncle and found him unresponsive, sitting in his chair.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies think he’d been dead for days.

Boorn is still in shock and said she feels guilty for trusting the staff at LifeStream at Sun City .

She said her uncle, Gerald McClellan, was like a second father and she can’t believe she was the one to find him, days after he died.

“It looked like a skeleton in a chair. The face, the eyes were hollowed out,” said Boorn.

That horrifying sight is burned into Boorn’s mind.
