SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Grab your boots and celebrate your roots!

The University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, is partnering with Santa Rosa County to hold Rural Roots Day.

The "family-friendly event showcase" will take place on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the UF/IFAS Research Center, located at 4253 Experiment Drive, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The public will have the chance to meet farmers and learn about practices and traditions. Attendees can expect complimentary food, antique tractors, panel discussions, a pie contest, and live animals.

At the Kid's Corner, children can participate in a hay maze, crafts, a cow train, and a planting station. Those ages 8 and up can also participate in an archery demonstration.
