In Georgia, Sweet Sixteen play hit the field for softball teams. Winners of the second round match-ups seal up their spot in each classifications eight team, double elimination state tournament in Columbus. In AAA, the Cairo ladies fell 8-6 and 8-1 to West Laurens, seeing their season end.
The Thomasville Lady Dogs split with Elbert County, winning game one 11-6 before falling 10-9 in game two. The if necessary game three is set for Thursday at 2:00. The winner secures a spot in Columbus.
