There’s more scrutiny on homeschooling oversight after two recent cases of alleged abuse involving homeschooled students. That’s why a forum was held Wednesday night in East Haddam to talk about regulations surrounding homeschooling.

“It’s best to do what’s right for the kids,” Robin Anderson, of Branford, said.

She is passionate about homeschooling, saying it has worked well for her children.

“A lot more flexibility. A lot more time. If a child doesn’t understand something, they have more allowance and freedom to understand it fully,” Anderson said.
