FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — Fairmont State University students can now walk around campus in style after it cut the ribbon on its new SOAR store on campus.

Located inside the Starbucks in the Falcon Center, the store was created to be a more affordable option for students and alumni who wanted to represent their school, but the options on campus were too expensive.

The store will offer clothing, accessories and other FSU-branded supplies. The school will also sell items from local vendors and artists to help celebrate the talents of those near campus. The store will also employ students, allowing them to work while staying close.

Mike Davis, the president of FSU, spoke with 12 News about why it was important that his students have an affordable option.
